The plant is managed by Alan McCall, the Wastewater Department Director.
The new wastewater treatment plant, completed in 2014, is a Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) designed to treat 700,000 GPD (gallons per day) with a maximum flow rate of over 1,200,000 GPD. The two 48'x 48'x 24' treatment tanks treat the raw wastewater in cycles. The new tanks can contain twice as much wastewater as the present facility.
